Roman Pool in Aqraba

The Roman pool, which served as a cistern for collecting water, is located in the center of the village marked with a sign in Arabic. The site is currently located on a privately owned land but can be accessed by a gate (usually open) just next to the sign. Old Islamic tombs can be seen on the way to the pool. Nowadays, the function of this ancient pool, constructed with irregular stone blocks, has changed – it now serves as a neat enclosure for the owner’s cattle.
